MINI-GRANT APPLICATION 2009-2010

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION HAS PASSED FOR THIS SCHOLASTIC YEAR

The Healdsburg Education Foundation Mini-Grant Program funds projects with budgets up to $500.00. Joint applications made with another educator may have a budget up to $500.00 per educator. The Foundation is particularly interested in projects designed to directly meet student needs and to enhance student motivation and learning. The funds can be used for special field trips, teacher training, equipment, events and other "creative" projects. Please note: Mini grants will not be granted for computers, printers, projectors or document cameras and related technology. HEF is coordinating with the HUSD and AVUSD to establish a more efficient and cost effective manner to address high tech related school needs.

Each proposal will be judged for its innovative qualities and its potential for effectiveness. Applicants should address high priority needs at the school and demonstrate that funding is not available through state, federal or district revenues, including categorical funding. We encourage applicants to be creative in budget planning by seeking material donations and manpower from parents and the community, if possible, as well as considering learning opportunities close to home. Notification of grant awards will be made by October 19, 2009.
