Each year, HEF raises money to reduce the impact of declining State of
California funding to public education.
Every donation makes a difference, is 100% tax deductible and
directly benefits each child’s education. And, many companies have matching
grant programs for their employees—check with yours!
With YOUR help, this is accomplished through the following campaigns:
Annual Fund Campaign
YOUR support of the Annual Fund Campaign preserves vital programs in
our public schools, such as the Arts, Athletics, Music, Library and Student
Support Services; programs essential to a well-balanced education for YOUR
student! HEF asks every student family to consider a gift of $200.00 each
school year (just over $1/school day!!) towards their child’s education.
Every gift, no matter the amount, is extremely valuable, is 100% tax deductible
and directly benefits YOUR child’s education. For information on how to

With eScrip, participating merchants donate a percentage of your purchases
to the Healdsburg Education Foundation. There is no cost to you -- simply
register your cards (all of your credit, debit and Safeway Club Cards) with
eScrip and your purchases using these cards earn dollars for HEF each time
you shop and use your registered cards. It’s an easy way to contribute to
your child’s education at no additional cost to you.

Adopt-a-Class
A parent, grandparent, individual, business or organization can sponsor
a classroom or teacher of their choice in the Healdsburg Unified School
District (HUSD) or the Alexander Valley School (AVS). The donation is made
available to the designated classroom, department or program for curriculum
materials, supplies, field trips or whatever the teacher (or Department
Chair) feels is most needed.
Adopt-a-Class was originally co-sponsored by the Healdsburg Chamber of
Commerce in an effort to unite local businesses in support of our local
public schools. Since its inception, there has been a steady increase in
funds received from donors to this popular program each year. For the 2006-07
school year, the Adopt-a-Class program provided over $64,000 to classrooms
or departments in HUSD and AVS schools!

Business Partnership
Everybody benefits from strong community schools. The Business Partnership
Program enables local businesses to support Healdsburg public schools and
their community. And HEF helps to increase our business partners’ visibility
and encourages shopping loyalty within the local schools and the community
at large. The schools support the business community and the business community
supports the schools - a true partnership! And, remember, the entire amount
of all donations is 100% tax deductible.
