Adopt-A-Class

A parent, grandparent, individual, business or organization can sponsor a classroom or teacher of their choice in the Healdsburg Unified School District (HUSD) or the Alexander Valley School (AVS). The donation is made available to the designated classroom, department or program for curriculum materials, supplies, field trips or whatever the teacher (or Department Chair) feels is most needed.

Adopt-A-Class was originally co-sponsored by the Healdsburg Chamber of Commerce in an effort to unite local businesses in support of our local public schools. Since its inception, there has been a steady increase in funds received from donors to this popular program each year. For the 2006-07 school year, the Adopt-A-Class program provided over $64,000 to classrooms or departments in HUSD and AVS schools!
